Your $60 million. For what?

Last week, the Administration wasted your $60 million when it decided to launch 59 Tomahawk missiles at innocuous targets on or near Syrian Shayrat Air Base. Trump said “It is in this vital national security interest of the United States to prevent and deter the spread and use of deadly chemical weapons.” Those 59 Tomahawk missiles worth $60 million achieved nothing but animus and hostility and wasted your money.

The Pentagon alerted the Russians (who are working with Syria) that the attack was coming, giving the Russians and Syrians time to move equipment to minimize their losses. A U.S. official noted that some Syrian aircraft were destroyed in the airstrikes but added that the missiles did not target every aircraft at the base and that the runway was untouched.

Syrian war planes flew from Shayrat Air Base the very next day after the attack. No gas was targeted. Nothing of military value was achieved. It also had no significant effect on policy since the U.S. currently has no coherent policy on Syria.

The American taxpayer paid $60 million hard earned dollars spent on a fireworks show on April 6!

How much can these blood sucking hawk vultures take from us? Only what we let them.

Please, whatever your stripe, color, creed, favorite movie, whoever you are, please urge all of your representatives not to blow your money on misadventures that build nothing and divert money from projects that are really beneficial to our everyday lives and can benefit us far into the future.

Or urge them to put it in you pocket. It doesn’t matter. Just don’t spend it on things that destroy property and kill people.
